Wonderplan

Wonderplan is the easiest free starting point for a simple trip. It costs nothing, asks for nothing, and produces an editable itinerary in minutes, and the free PDF export alone makes it more useful on the road than several paid planners. For a weekend break or a first sketch of a longer route, it does the job with zero friction.

The limits show up as trips get serious. With no live data, a named restaurant may have closed and a hotel price is only a guess, so the verification pass is on you, and there is no booking, no map-led organizing, and no way to plan together in real time. Use Wonderplan to get the trip out of your head and onto a page, then graduate to a fuller planner when the details start to matter.

Wonderplan is a free AI trip planner that does one job quickly: it turns your destination, dates, interests, and budget into a day-by-day itinerary you can actually edit. You tell it what kind of traveler you are, and it drafts the trip with sights, food stops, downtime, and accommodation picks matched to your tastes, all on a single page.

The editing is the point. Most AI planners hand you a fixed block of text, but Wonderplan treats its output as a draft, so you can reorder a day, swap a neighborhood, or delete a stop you never wanted in seconds. When the plan feels right, you download it as a PDF for free and carry it offline, which is a feature several better-known rivals keep behind a subscription.

Wonderplan fits travelers who want a head start rather than a concierge. There is no booking engine, no live pricing, and no group editing, so it works best as the fast first pass: generate the shape of the trip here, then book and verify the pieces wherever you usually buy travel.
