The free tier's monthly character allowance is enough to evaluate and prototype without any payment.

The tiered structure requires careful evaluation before committing. Studio voices at $160 per million characters produce the highest quality but at a price 40 times higher than WaveNet. Most production use cases land on WaveNet or Neural2, and the quality difference between those tiers is the primary decision point. Gemini TTS models are also available through Google Cloud but are priced separately under Vertex AI with custom enterprise quotes. Access is available through a REST API and SDKs in multiple programming languages.
